COVID-19 Vaccine + Fillers

COVID-19 Vaccine + Fillers

As many of you have heard through social media or news, there has been some concern with the vaccine in those who have dermal fillers. As of the third trial of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine, three out of over 30,000 patients experienced swelling in the areas they had filler. They all had a mild reaction and responded well to oral steroids and Benadryl.

We at Vitality Aesthetic feel like we need to address these concerns and want to share our recommendations for your future treatments with us.

If you have been vaccinated or plan to be vaccinated, our new policy is to wait on any dermal filler treatment for 2 weeks prior to the vaccine and 2 weeks after the last dose of the vaccine. This does not apply to Botox/Dysport. We feel this is a precautionary recommendation, and it's not a mandate.

We support getting vaccinated which is why 100% of our staff is fully vaccinated. For questions, please set up a virtual consultation or contact the office.
