The trapezius muscle begins at the base of your head and extends down your neck, to the middle of your back and all the way to your shoulders. An overworked trapezius muscle not only houses stress, but creates the visual effect of bulkier shoulders and additionally, a wider, shorter neck.

Poor posture, spine misalignment, certain exercises and even sleeping positions can contribute to the strain within this sizable muscle. Botulinum toxin (Such as Botox, Xeomin, or Dysport) can strategically be injected to treat an enlarged trapezius to both slim and relax the muscle.
