Frequency of application varies from 1-2 times per week starting out, working up to every night depending on how conditioned and consistent you are and the results you want to achieve.
*If you’re new to retinol, start off slow and then be consistent. I like to remind my clients that it's similar to starting a new workout routine. The first couple weeks or even the first month, you’re probably gonna feel a little tender and discouraged. But the more you stick with it (no matter how hard it may seem), the more you get conditioned, you build that endurance and strength and then really see those results coming to fruition! It’s the same with retinol. The first few weeks you may feel a little drier, flaky or sensitive. It’s not as likely with Clearing Serum there is so much nourishment to counteract sensitivity but it can happen and that’s okay! Keep with it and you’ll see that happen less and less as your skin builds stamina and strength. It is sooooo worth it.
*for more sensitive skin types, start off slow and mix together with your nighttime moisturizer. After a couple weeks you can start using Clearing Serum alone under your moisturizer.
*when getting professional treatments like facials, peels, waxing, microneedling, etc. always refrain from using your retinol for at 3-4 days before and after treatment.
