Trapezius Botox Recommendations

Thank you for visiting Vitality Aesthetics for your trapezius Botox treatment.

The injection sites may feel tender and sore for a few days following treatment.

Avoid touching, rubbing or massaging the treated area. It is recommended to avoid any manipulation to the injected area for the first 24 hours after the treatment to prevent the spread of the Botox to unintended areas.

For the first few hours after the injection, try to remain upright and avoid lying down. This helps the Botox settle into the intended muscle.

Avoid strenuous exercise and physical activities for the first 24 hours after the injections. This can help prevent the Botox from spreading to unintended muscles and causing unwanted effects.

Avoid heat exposure from saunas, hot tubs and hot showers for 24 hours after the injections. Heat can increase blood flow and potentially lead to the spread of Botox.

Avoid ibuprofen, aspirin or vitamin E for 24 hours after injection. Tylenol may be taken for any discomfort or headaches.

Side effects may include bruising, swelling or mild discomfort at the injection sites. This should subside within a matter of days. If you experience severe or unexpected side effects, contact us at the number below.

It may take up to two weeks to start experiencing the therapeutic tension relief, and up to four weeks to experience the slimming of the Botox treatment. However, results vary from person to person.

Your Vitality provider will discuss the recommendation of implementing additional modalities to optimize the outcome of this treatment that may include:

  • stretching
  • massage/physical therapy
  • mind-body therapies (meditation, breathwork, nature)
  • heat/cold therapy
  • sufficient hydration/nutrition
  • ergonomic adjustments for proper posture
