Peel Post-Treatment Instructions

Follow the below recommendations strictly to optimize your results and help avoid any adverse outcomes. Contact us with questions at 619-329-2449

Avoid harsh cleansers, exfoliatants, scrubs, Clarisonic (or any other scrubbing brushes), washcloths, Retinol/Retin-A, AHAs, or Benzoyl Peroxide.

Don’t wash face until the following morning. Pat skin dry/do not rub.

Do not pick or peel the shedding skin (you may trim with fine pointed scissors).

Apply your moisturizer every day, including when you are “peeling” (Hyaluronic Acid Serum, Triple Lipid, Aquaphor, etc.) This may be up to 10-20 times a day. Use it whenever you feel dry or itchy. If any crusting or scabbing occurs, use one of the antibiotic ointments (Bactroban, Polysporin).

Do not let your skin dry out. Dryness causes pulling on the new skin underneath, which may cause red, irritated areas. Apply your moisturizer gently – Do not rub it in hard. This should reduce tightness and make you more comfortable.

Wear SPF 30 or above at all times. Reapply every 2 hours and a hat is also recommended.

Stay out of the sun and heat as your skin heals. Avoid steamy showers/hot tubs or excessive heat.

Do not work out for 24 hours. Sweating and gym environments are harmful, rich with bacteria, and may cause adverse reactions. Do not have any other facial treatments/procedures for at least one week after peel or until flaking stops. You can apply a thin layer of over the counter hydrocortisone cream to especially itchy or irritated areas as needed.

Please reach out if you have further concerns.
